Join us on Wednesday, 20th August at 6.30pm at Twr y Felin Hotel for a captivating evening with Hugh Wright.

A lifelong devotee of folk-rock icon and Nobel Laureate Bob Dylan, Hugh Wright has balanced his deep admiration for Dylan’s work with his long-standing vocation as a parish priest in the Church of England. Over the past few years, he has brought Dylan’s music to life on the Isle of Wight, performing in a series of acclaimed, sold-out shows: Pressing On (2023), A Quest for Meaning (2024), and When I Paint My Masterpiece (2025). Collaborating with talented musicians, including Pretty Things guitarist Dick Taylor, Hugh delivers a unique blend of music, insight, and reflection.

He also partnered with Professor Will Kaufman, a leading authority on Woody Guthrie, for “This Train Is Bound for Glory” at Sarum College in 2016, a dynamic fusion of lecture, guitar, and song.

This evening’s event, titled “When I Paint My Masterpiece”, will feature highlights from his Quest for Meaning performance (see hughsviews.blog) along with new material. Whether you’re a lifelong Dylan enthusiast or just discovering his genius, there will be something for everyone.
