Alongside more than 200 historic properties across Wales, we’ll be opening our doors for you to explore the original windmill tower, spread across three floors and offering some of the best views across the peninsula.

Our sister properties are also taking part in Cadw’s Open Doors. On Monday 28th September, 12pm–3pm, take a step back in time and explore 800 years of history at Roch Castle. Then, on Tuesday 29th September, 12pm–3pm, take a wander around Penrhiw Priory and discover its fascinating history and deep connections with the local area.
Twr y Felin began life in 1806 as a working windmill, built to harness the strong coastal winds of the St Davids Peninsula. The mill operated for almost a century before its sails were removed in 1904. During the Second World War, the tower took on a new role as a lookout post used by the WRNS. Today, Twr y Felin has been transformed into a contemporary art hotel, combining its fascinating history with modern Welsh design. With over 200 years of stories within its walls, the original windmill tower remains at the heart of the hotel.
