Three of Wales’ leading luxury boutique hotels in St Davids, Pembrokeshire, have received Visit Wales Gold Awards in recognition of their high standards of quality, comfort and hospitality.
The gold award is given to businesses in the Visit Wales Hotel and Guest Accommodation schemes; with which Twr y Felin is a 4 Silver Star hotel of superior quality and Roch Castle and Penrhiw Priory are 5 Star Guest Accommodation properties.
AA Hotel of the Year Wales 2017 – 2018 Twr y Felin, is a former windmill and Wales’ first contemporary art hotel, located in Britain’s smallest city, St Davids. Meticulously restored and extended, featuring contemporary design throughout, the hotel is now home to 21 bedrooms including two unique suites and over 100 pieces of specially commissioned art, inspired by the St Davids peninsula and Pembrokeshire.
Twr y Felin Hotel is also home to two AA Rosette Blas Restaurant. Under Head Chef Simon Coe, Blas offers a menu influenced by the season and uses produce sourced from predominantly Pembrokeshire and Welsh suppliers, as well as foraged ingredients from the surrounding countryside and coast.
Set high above the Pembrokeshire landscape, 12th century Roch Castle delivers panoramic views of St Brides Bay and the Preseli Hills. Meticulously restored in 2012, the castle now offers luxury guest accommodation and with just six rooms is available for exclusive stays.
Located in Britain’s smallest city, St Davids, Penrhiw Priory has been restored with the utmost care, its original features subtly contrasting the contemporary interiors. Nestled in acres of private gardens, enveloped by woodland paths, river and meadow, the boutique hotel provides a complete retreat for guests. Home to just eight luxury rooms, Penrhiw is available for bed and breakfast or exclusive stays.
Complimentary transfers are available to and from Blas Restaurant at Twr y Felin each evening for Roch Castle and Penrhiw Priory.
