Dan Wright

Daniel Wright has designed a range of ceramics for the Retreats group based on the Architecture and landscape of the stunning St Davids peninsula where he now lives and exhibits. The drawings of Eric Ravilious and the ceramics of the Italian designer Piero Fornasetti inspire Daniel. He enjoys both working with clay and drawing and painting. He produces hand-thrown Earthenware covered in white slip and hand-drawn transfer screen printed in black enamel. Daniel’s work relates to either the object’s function or the area’s locality. He likes to combine traditional and modern techniques in a contemporary way.
